Sara Ann Markwith-Padgett is a Berkshire county native and longtime resident of Pittsfield, MA.

Sara has been an artist since first picking up a pencil. Finding that it's greatest use was creating.

By high-school she had painted several murals for friends, the PHS biology department, and a local costume shop. She was chosen to participate in an advanced placement art program in her senior year under Nicholas LePore.

Sara continued her artistic education into her first years of college, attending Berkshire Community College and The Massachussets College of Liberal Arts. Sara explored science, languages, history and philosophy. She worked at a yoga retreat, lead a volunteer organization, and had a corporate career.

She worked in the quiet hours of the night, and inspired moments of the day further exploring her artistic direction. She has studied under Frank Federico, Alice Gage, and Greg Maicheck.

Her many experiences and broad education inform her artistic self expression.

Today, Sara shows her work as a juried member of the Housatonic Valley Art Leauge in Great Barrington, MA, and the Trinity Art Gallery in Lime Rock, CT.

She has an exibit of her early work at Maria's European Delights in Pittsfield, MA.
